Great food, too much traffic noise

I can't fault the food if the service is a little slow. Just get a nibbling starter and a glass of something to tide you over. What I don't like about this place is the noise of the traffic outside. They really should close the windows and just have the odd light fan on indoors - it can be stressful as Masons Ave appears to be a B road.

Shhh! Don't read this!

The Thai Cafe is a well-kept secret so don't read this and certainly don't tell your friends! I don't want to go back and find it's suddenly become so fashionable that I can't get a table. So what do I like about it ? Well, the decor is basic but the food is great and the service is excellent. A wide range of Thai dishes with something for everyone, from the mildest of dishes to something with a real kick. Lots of veggie choices too. My only disappointment (?) was that the menu is in English so there wasn't the fun of trying to pronounce the names of Thai dishes in their native language.
