Their service is even worse than the quality of the products they sell. A brand new pullover for St. Helens' senior school went very bobbly and started pilling only after a week of wear. I complained to the shop. One member of staff advised me it was because I had washed it, the other one tried to fob me off by saying it was because I had not washed it. I washed it as agreed (it run very badly) and it looked no better so the manager from Stanmore (Frances) agreed to an exchange subject to availabilty.I checked with the shop today and they had one in stock and told me to come for an exchange (my third visit to the shop). When I turned up, I was told ,to my dismay, that the owner did not agree to an exchange. They could not care less about the quality of the products or their service knowing that they have monopoly on the sale of these items. Will take it up with OFT. Wish me luck! It is not the first thing I have bought from them in the last 3- 4 years - not impressed with quality or service on previous occassions, either.
My opinion is that Pullens of Northwood High Street is the best school outfitter around. They have itmes that other shops dont have, and prices are the cheapest I've ever come across at £22-25 for blazers. -- They cover many areas too. It is near to Somerfield and Northwood Hills station and passed by the 282,H11 and H13.
Incredible to think that you still have the school franchaise for both Northwood Prep and St Helens. You, never have stock, and don't seem to care when stock will come in. Staff are not interstered in helping with issues. It seems that as long as you know that parents have to purchase from you, you do not have to provide a service. I ordered all my daughters items for St Helens at a school event before the summer holidays, received a call to say it was all in stock, only to turn up at the shop and find most of the items missing, which meant I have to spend another hour and a half in the shop. I also recently purchased new shool trousers for my 8 year old son, He complained that they hurt him, and gave him a stomach ache, only to discover that they have been labelled incorrectly , instead of being a 23"" waist they were an 18"", only to be told that I could not change them as he had worn them!!!
These examples are only recent ones I could go on....
There is one assistant at Northwood who is very good, and knows you by name, but sadly he has not been there for a few weeks. I do hope hat you have not lost him.
When will we be able to buy on line?
