  • 3 Convenient Indian

LocationEasy to find. At the end of the parade of shops right next to a bus stop and the car park.MenuStarters including lentil (dall) soup, tandoori dishes, fish including trout and pomfret, garlic dishes, pickle (achar) dishes, balti, mustard chicken, veg thali at about £13.95 and meatl thali about £14.95, biriani, mild dishes including chicken with cream ground almonds and lychees (chicken saforkhan), vegetables including chickpeas (chana masala), rice including mushroom rice or garlic fried rice, peshawri nan with dried fruit. The menu ends: 'If there is a dish you may like and it is not listed on the menu, please enquire with the staff and if possible within the time available we will be happy to prepared it or you.' (sic.) I had a laugh at the typo - the idea of them preparing the guests as well as the food. Of course the f is missing it should be for you.Fifteen per cent discount on take away meals.ServiceFriendly man greets you as you walk in.Opening hoursNoon to 2 pm and six until 11 pm.Friends of mine who live in Northwood say it's good. I'll try it soon and let you know if I agree with them.

  • 3 Bit Pricey, Small Portions

We have been to this restaurant several times, as within the area we are limited as to the Indian restaurants we can get to. The Uk standard chicken Tikka is tasty and the sauce has the correct balance of cream and spice. Our other favorite, sheek kebab, is again above average but to be fair you need order two portions if you want it as a main course. Ambiance is fair and the experience would be livened up if the staff smiled a bit more. Hayley Shepherd- Colchester

  • 5 Great Indian Food

This place is absolutely awesome. I was recommended this place by a friend and from my first time there, I kept going back for more, to eat in or to sit and dine. The restaurant itself is small which makes the service great and intimate. The food is something else, no word of a lie. The prices are very reasonable considering the quality of the food. Everytime I'm in Northwood, it's the first place I go. Top notch.
