Electron tubes designs, develops, and manufactures high sensitivity, low noise photomultipliers, customised light detector modules and other light and radiation sensing devices. Etl provides pmts with ultra low background glass and rugged metal ceramic pmts. We also supply low cost, high performance hv supplies and pmt housings. We have developed new business with the xdm and xdas, x-ray detection and data acquisition modules and with the linx linear x-ray system. End users and oems across the technology spectrum rely on electron tubes to help them remain leaders in their fields : astronomy - telescopes from palomar to hubble; high energy physics - photomultipliers in all major accelerator laboratories; space exploration - working with nasa and esa; oil exploration - equipping the tools that seek out hydrocarbon deposits with detectors that withstand severe shock and vibration; manufacturing - building detectors for process monitoring; defence - supporting sensitive installations and equipment; quality control - optimising inspection instrumentation.
